Prolight+Sound has published full details of the conference agenda for 2015. A broad spectrum of topics and renowned speakers include over 50 lectures during the first three days of the fair (15-17 April 2015). The Prolight+Sound Conference and Eventplaza Conference in Frankfurt will discuss the latest technological developments, new application areas and legal issues. All sessions are free of charge for Prolight+Sound visitors.

With the UR series already leaving potential buyers confused - there are now six different interfaces in the UR series - this will probably be the last USB 2.0 audio interface to reach the market - or so we hope.
Advanced Television Systems Committee Begins Review of ATSC 3.0 Audio System Proposals
On December 2014, the ATSC issued a Call for Proposals for a comprehensive audio system for the next generation ATSC 3.0 digital television standard. Dolby (with Atmos), DTS (with DTS:X) and a consortium comprising Technicolor, Fraunhofer and Qualcomm (jointly promoting MPEG-H Audio) have submitted their audio systems. Now, the ATSC has begun its technical review of the three detailed proposals.
McIntosh Reissues Tube Classics MC75 and C22
Since 1947, when McIntosh introduced its power amplifier design using its patented bifilar-wound dual-primary output transformer, the brand’s power amps have been considered the performance standard. The Audio Engineering Society announced the recent publication of the AES69-2015 standard, which provides an important framework for the growing binaural and 3D personal audio industries. The standard, which describes the format and exchange of spatial acoustics files, is the product of the AES Standards Committee.
Bob Moog Foundation Unveils Historic Schematics from Archives
The Bob Moog Foundation released 15 new schematics from its vast archives of hardware, conceptual drawings, photographs, vintage catalogs, design schematics and more. The release is the second of its kind, following 20 schematics shared on the Foundation’s eighth anniversary, August 21, 2014.
