JBL Launches New Flagship CBT Series Column Loudspeaker and Expands Intellivox HP Series Column Loudspeakers at InfoComm 2016
In 2010, JBL Professional introduced its CBT series of vertical columns, trying to address the successful concept with a passive and more affordable approach. In 2013, Harman acquired the world market leader in vertical array loudspeakers, the Dutch company Duran Audio, and gained access to its sophisticated Digital Directivity Synthesis technology and Axys Intellivox range of products. At InfoComm 2016, JBL now introduced its flagship JBL CBT1000 column array, together with the JBL Intellivox HP-DS170 loudspeaker.

Bang & Olufsen Appoints Henrik Clausen as New CEO
Bang Olufsen has appointed Henrik Clausen as new CEO with effect from July 1, 2016. Henrik Clausen replaces Tue Mantoni who some time ago initiated a dialogue with the Board of Directors about his long term commitment as CEO once certain important projects had been completed. The Danish company declared that negotiations for a potential takeover from Chinese shareholder Sparkle Roll have terminated without effect.
InfoComm 2016 Officially the Largest on Record
A record 1,000 exhibitors, including 211 new exhibitors, filled the Las Vegas Convention Center June 8-10 for InfoComm 2016, occupying 527,105 net square feet of exhibit and special events space - also a show record. Attendees registered for more than 12,000 seats at InfoComm University sessions throughout the week, more than double the number engaged in training and education in 2015.

Lab Gruppen Unveils New LUCIA and D Series Slimline Amplifiers
Responding directly to the needs of the installation market, Lab Gruppen unveiled two new amplifier families during InfoComm 2016. The new LUCIA amplifiers follow the highly successful launch of LUCIA 70 V output models during last year’s InfoComm show now with three new LUCIA 60 W power models, all with configurable DSP features. The company also expanded its D Series advanced install-dedicated amplifier platform with the introduction of three slimline models.

B&K Precision Offers 100 kHz Handheld LCR Meter with Bench Performance
B&K Precision announced the expansion of its current 878B and 879B 40,000-count handheld LCR meters with the addition of a new 100 kHz model, the 880. This new portable LCR meter can measure inductance, capacitance, and resistance with 0.1% basic impedance accuracy. Offering many features typically found only in bench LCR meters, the 880 provides test frequencies up to 100 kHz, selectable test signal levels, and 4-terminal measurement capabilities.
