New Raspberry Pi Model B+ with Better Audio
A fresh Raspberry Pi was announced by the Raspberry Pi foundation. The new single board computer brings with it several welcomed improvements, including a dedicated low-noise power supply which effectively improves the audio circuit. The new Raspberry Pi Model B+ also expands GPIO pins and now has 4 USB 2.0 ports.
Frankfurt Musikmesse 2015: More Time for the Public and a New Hall Layout
Trade fair organisers Messe Frankfurt announced some important changes for its Musikmesse 2015 show, held concurrently with Prolight+Sound 2015 in the city of Frankfurt. Musikmesse 2015 will be open to the public all day Friday and Saturday (one extra day for non-trade visitors) and will have a new hall layout.

Panasonic offers Wireless Sound with Launch of aptX Enabled TVs
Panasonic has chosen to integrate aptX streaming into a number of its Viera digital TV models. With CSR’s aptX already supporting a number of its wireless audio devices like headsphones, speakers, and soundbars, Panasonic has now become the first manufacturer to offer a range of TVs with the audio codec.
Microchip Extends Spotify Connect Support for SoC JukeBlox Platform
Microchip announced Spotify Connect support in its JukeBlox system-on-a-chip (SoC) and Software Design Kit (SDK) for networked audio platform, releasing a new media module to support Spotify’s streaming service. This release extends support to more than 8 million audio products based on Microchip’s network audio processors.
