AIMS and AES Unveil Full Schedule of Presentations for Audio/Video-over-IP Technology Pavilion at AES New York
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) and the Audio Engineering Society (AES) announced the complete lineup of presentations for the Audio/Video-over-IP Technology Pavilion Theater at the upcoming AES New York 2019 show, scheduled for Oct. 16-18 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. Over the three-day convention, the theater will feature a continuous program of 30-minute presentations covering a broad range of topics on audio and video networking over IP.

True Wireless Designs: A Case of Loose-Fit Earbuds
When both Amazon and Microsoft promoted their own designs and vision for the true wireless earbuds category, what I found most interesting about Microsoft's Surface Earbuds was the design itself. Yes, they have that big round surface that will confer a distinct "iconic" look to the user - just like the AirPods do in a different way - but inside they also use the loose-fit design that Apple adopted since the EarPods (and which Bose pioneered). Just like Apple's design, they do not go inside the ear and do not completely block the ear canal.
