ProLight+Sound 2015 was the stage chosen by Yamaha for the launch of its new TF series digital consoles, which stands for TouchFlow Operation, heralding a new ‘best in class’ solution for small to medium scale mixing requirements. Of course, the TF series will also appeal to a wider market due to its very attractive price point, especially considering the underlying advanced digital technology and integrated preamps.
2015 NAB Show Attendance Exceeds 100,000 and Closes in Upbeat Mood
The National Association of Broadcasters announced a preliminary registered attendance of 103,042 for the 2015 NAB Show, the world’s largest annual convention covering filmed entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all mediums. The exhibition featured 1,789 companies spanning 1,015,000 net square feet of exhibit space.
Sennheiser Launches AVX Wireless Microphone Systems for Video Cameras
At the NAB Show in Las Vegas, Sennheiser launched a new plug-and-play wireless microphone solution for cameras. The new AVX Wireless systems use a compact plug-in receiver to connect onto the camera’s audio input and a handheld or belt-pack microphone transmitter. Operating in the license-free frequency range around 1.9 GHz, the system automatically searches for free transmission frequencies.
TC Electronic Announces Clarity X Monitor Controller
One of the highlights from TC Electronic at the 2015 NAB show in Las Vegas as well as at Musikmesse and Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt is the Clarity X, a new multi-format monitor controller that works with any professional loudspeaker. It comes with a small-footprint remote control, measurement microphone and a full range of meters.

DPA Microphones introduced two new broadcast microphones at NAB 2015. Together with the new d:facto Interview Microphone, the Danish company is introducing the new d:fine In-Ear Broadcast Headset Microphone, targeted at broadcast hosts who use in-ear monitors to communicate with their producers backstage or to hear foldback from people interviewed outside the studio.
