Dinaburg Speaker with Dual Diffuser - An Innovative Coaxial Driver Design with a Passive Ring Radiator
Recently, Dinaburg Technology, based in Dallas, TX, was issued their first US patent for an electro-dynamic loudspeaker with an integrated coaxial passive ring radiator. Mikhail Dinaburg, noted physicist and the patent inventor, uncovered some missing elements in previous coax and passive radiator work and set out to prove it. Dinaburg’s patent discloses techniques for higher performance sound reproduction, enabling lower distortion, extended frequency range, higher efficiency, and improved speech intelligibility. The invention has wide applications and scales from a earphone driver to near-field studio monitors, ceiling speakers, under couch subwoofers to the largest concert subwoofers.

SVS Announces 3000 Micro Subwoofer With Dual Opposing 8-Inch Drivers
SVS has announced the 3000 Micro subwoofer which challenges existing reference designs from a compact 10-inch cabinet, able to reach 23Hz. The 300 Micro, the company says, matches the company's reference SVS 16-Ultra sub, by using dual opposing 8-inch drivers combined with the 800 watt RMS, 2,500 watt Peak Power Sledge STA-800D2 amplifier with discreet MOSFET output. The new 3000 Micro subwoofer also includes the SVS control smartphone app for advanced tuning of the Analog Devices DSP.
StreamUnlimited Licenses Fraunhofer’s MPEG-H Audio Decoder Software and Joins the MPEG-H Trademark Program
Fraunhofer IIS, the primary inventor of the MPEG-H 3D Audio standard, and StreamUnlimited, a supplier of software solutions and hardware modules for connected audio products, have announced that MPEG-H 3D Audio Baseline Profile decoders have been integrated into the StreamSDK from StreamUnlimited. The Austrian company is already offering decoder implementations supporting the MPEG-H 3D Audio Baseline Profile and has joined the MPEG-H Audio System trademark program administered by Fraunhofer.
