Microchip's Silicon Storage Technology (SST) subsidiary announced that its SuperFlash memBrain neuromorphic memory solution has helped WITINMEM solve speech processing challenges at the edge. The company's new neural processing, computing-in-memory SoC is the first in volume production that enables sub-mA systems to reduce speech noise and recognize hundreds of command words, in real time and immediately after power-up.

Qualcomm announced the latest S5 and S3 Sound Platforms with support for new Snapdragon Sound experiences, featuring lossless CD-quality streaming over Bluetooth, stereo recording, ultra-low latency sound with in-game chat, and adaptive active noise cancellation. Both new platforms already offer support for Bluetooth LE Audio.

Renesas Develops World's Smaller and Lower Power Bluetooth Low Energy RF Transceiver
Renesas Electronics announced the development of two 2.4 GHz RF transceiver technologies that support the Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) low-power, near-field communication standard. The new technologies also achieve a smaller mounting area and better power efficiency. Renesas presented these technologies at International Solid-State Circuits Conference 2022 (ISSCC 2022), held between February 20 and 24 in San Francisco.
