Peak Amplification Unveils Next-Generation GaN Class-D Amplifier

Peak Amplification, a division of Elytone, announced the launch of its first GaN–based amplifier module co-developed with Infineon at CEDIA Expo 2025 in Denver (Booth 739). The first in a new generation of products that Peak believes will outperform traditional silicon-based Class-D amplifiers, the new amplifier module leverages the latest CoolGaN and MERUS devices from Infineon and already offers higher performance audio, higher power density, and significantly cooler and more efficient operation.

Visitors to CEDIA Expo 2025 will have the opportunity to be among the first to see the brand-new Networked Audio Processor 2 (NAP2), the latest compact, cost-optimized solution from Elytone for integration in speakers, mic arrays, and distributed audio systems. Building on the success of its NAP1 platform, the Taiwan-based company is now pushing forward with a solution designed for audio-over-IP networks. At half the size of NAP1 and less cost, it supports native AES67, control, and PoE on one single CAT5e/6 cable.

Elytone returned to ISE 2025 in Barcelona with another series of exciting technology updates in networked audio. The Taiwan-based company showcased new developments featuring its Networked Audio Processor 1 (NAP1) platform enabling IP audio networks over Dante and AES67, now with AES70 (OCA) controls, enhanced A2B Audio Bus bridging (including automatic plug & play). Also new is the addition of audio streaming capabilities, including Spotify Connect and Google Cast, with more streaming services in final testing and additional services to be added in 2025.

The new Flexible Line consists of a series of amplifier modules and separate power supplies to support a wide variety of configurations for different consumer electronic and residential integration product applications.
