Next-Generation Klippel Loudspeaker Parameter Measurement — Fast Large Signal Identification (FLSI)

Klippel introduced the Large Signal Identification (LIS) and Linear Parameter Measurement (LPM) software tools 25 years ago to measure linear and nonlinear loudspeaker parameters in conjunction with Klippel analyzer hardware. To advance the state of loudspeaker parameter measurement, Klippel has now developed the Fast Large Signal Identification (FLSI), a new measurement software module designed to replace both LPM and LSI.

COMSOL continues to expand the possibilities for simulation of real-world designs, devices, and processes, and now announced Version 6.3 of its COMSOL Multiphysics software. As largely anticipated in the recent series of conferences, COMSOL 6.3 introduces a new Electric Discharge Module, GPU-accelerated simulations, and many other updates. The Acoustics Module now offers GPU support for transient pressure acoustics, porous materials in the time domain, SLNS formulation for thermoviscous acoustics, anisotropic poroacoustics, and much more

Modeling and Simulation and Measurement systems evolved significantly in the past decade. Important progress is now bridging the gap between COMSOL simulation and Klippel measurement data, Roger Shively reports after returning from Orlando, FL, where we attended another edition of the ALTI Expo & Conference (June 11-13, 2023).
