Audio THD with QSPICE: An Interview with Mike Engelhardt

The creator of LTspice has designed a new and much improved simulation tool suite called QSPICE (the Q is for Qorvo, the company that supported the new effort). Mike Engelhardt, physicist, analog engineer, and entrepreneur talked to Tim McCune, former president of Linear Systems, to discuss how QSPICE can help solve many issues that audio designers simulating their circuits might confront.

Keysight Technologies has introduced the new PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS) 2023, an integrated design and simulation software that rapidly addresses increasing design complexity and higher frequencies in radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. The updated design and simulation environment includes enhancements to electromagnetic (EM) simulation for circuit designers and streamlines integration of multi-technology circuit assembly and simulation into enterprise electronic design automation (EDA) design workflows.

Microchip Technology announced availability of its updated MPLAB Mindi analog simulation software, now including more models and features. The circuit simulation tool now supports more than 300 Microchip analog products, with SIMetrix’s enhanced SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) and SIMPLIS Technologies’ SIMPLIS (SIMulation of Piecewise LInear Systems) simulation environments.
