xMEMS Partners with Rayking to Accelerate Adoption of Cypress MEMS Speaker in Wireless Earbuds

September 15 2025, 14:10
xMEMS Labs announced a strategic partnership with Dongguan Rayking Electronics to co-develop a turnkey Cypress + Alta-S speaker module for next-generation TWS earbuds. The collaboration follows xMEMS announcement that Cypress and its companion Alta-S ASIC are now ready for mass production. A manufacturer of electret condenser microphones (ECM) and MEMS microphones, Rayking is highly recognized in consumer electronics, from notebooks and mobile phones to Bluetooth devices and car electronics.
The new module, to be shown for the first time at xMEMS Live Asia 2025, combines the clarity and fast mechanical response of the Cypress piezoMEMS ultrasound architecture with Rayking’s acoustic packaging expertise and manufacturing scale. This ready-to-use module simplifies design, reduces time-to-market, and enables OEMs to confidently mass-produce solid-state MEMS-based earbuds at scale.

"Rayking is excited to partner with xMEMS to industrialize Cypress with Alta-S into a complete module solution," says Dennis Duan, Vice GM of Dongguan Rayking Electronics. "Together, we will provide earbud brands with a ready-to-use MEMS speaker module that simplifies design, shortens development cycles, and unlocks the benefits of solid-state speakers for consumers everywhere."

By combining xMEMS’ core MEMS speaker technology with a fully packaged module, xMEMS and Rayking are accelerating availability of Cypress-enabled earbuds for developers and manufacturers. According to xMEMS, the new Rayking module (codename: Monster) marks a breakthrough in earbud design and performance, enabling brands to confidently mass-produce full-range solid-state MEMS-based TWS earbuds at scale. The module dimensions are 10mm x 10mm x 2.8mm including all external components and cover.

The Cypress + Alta-S module from Rayking will be available for sampling immediately following xMEMS Live Asia. Mass production shipments are scheduled for early 2026.

Dongguan Rayking Electronics Co., Ltd. was established in March 2011, specializing in the R&D and production of intelligent acoustic components and automotive modules such as speakers, acoustic microphones, pressure sensors, and audio modules.
