Apogee Eliminates Latency on Logic Pro X when using Ensemble and Element Audio Interfaces
In another example of direct collaboration between Californian audio hardware specialists Apogee Digital and Apple, Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt and Element Series audio interfaces now offer Direct Monitoring support in Apple’s Logic Pro X (10.3.2) that easily eliminates recording latency with the simple click of a button. Pressing the new “Direct” button causes the monitoring signal to come directly from the hardware input, bypassing any I/O buffer or plug-in induced latency.

Home Audio Revenues on Target to Grow 17% in 2017
A new report from Futuresource Consulting shows the home audio market continues to outpace the wider home electronics market, thanks in great part to the success of smart and wireless speakers, and soundbars. Futuresource's new Worldwide Audio Report highlights that Amazon commands 90% of smart speaker’s sales as well as other key trends. However, the story is not so good for many legacy categories such as hi-fi systems and loudspeakers and home-theatre-in-a-box systems.
