Meridian Audio has launched its new flagship loudspeaker, the DSP8000 XE, announcing major advances in platform design, audio engineering and performance for the company’s DSP digital active loudspeakers. Within the familiar shape of Meridian's high-end loudspeakers, the new DSP8000 XE combines a 5mm beryllium dome with silver voice-coil tweeter plus one midrange driver, and 6 long-throw woofers, in a fully integrated design with analog balanced and digital audio inputs, plus USB (Type C) supporting up to 24-bit/384kHz.
Sonarworks Partners with Wayne Jones Audio for SoundID Reference Integration in Studio Monitors
Sonarworks has announced that its SoundID Reference correction software will now be integrated into the highly acclaimed Jones-Scanlon Studio Monitors. The partnership with Wayne Jones Audio, an Australian manufacturer of bass guitar speaker cabinets and high-end studio monitors, allowed the first direct integration of the calibration software to run straight from the monitor's built-in DSP SHARC processors. SoundID Reference (Reference 4 software), will now be integrated into select Wayne Jones Audio monitors.
