Now, RME and DirectOut have joined forces to present the new Digiface Ravenna. The mobile audio interface is based on the proven Digiface Dante, but features a Ravenna module developed by DirectOut and allows the transmission of a total of 128 audio channels coming, with a MADI option via a single USB 3.0 connection.

Audio networking experts RH Consulting have been counting networked audio products and licensees since 2013 in an effort to chart the adoption of audio networking in the pro audio, AV and broadcast markets. Recognized as the benchmark for tracking trends in networked audio, the 10th edition of the annual report covers all the major protocols including Dante, RAVENNA, AES67, AVB, Milan and others. Using the extra time available for development allowed by the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on other activities, German developer DirectOut has greatly expanded the capabilities of its PRODIGY Series with the release of new firmware for both the PRODIGY.MC (Modular Audio Converter) and PRODIGY.MP (Multifunction Audio Processor). The result, the company says, is a "prodigious" evolution, with both firmware and software updates that considerably expand features, redundancy, and versatility.
