Brandenburg Labs introduces Directivity Transfer Function for Okeanos Pro

Brandenburg Labs has updated its advanced headphone system, Okeanos Pro, intended for music production and scientific research. Starting in August 2025, users will have access to the Directivity Transfer Function (DTF) editor. This new tool enables Okeanos Pro users to adjust the directivity of virtual sound sources. By incorporating DTFs into their workflow, audio professionals will be able to experience a more realistic representation of their studio.

Mads Rydahl, Siri’s first Head of Product and Design, has funneled his extensive knowledge of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) into a new company. Proemial is a startup, co-founded by serial entrepreneur Geet Khosla and tech veteran Brian Pedersen, with a mission to tackle the most significant problem of accessing credible scientific research and knowledge through search engines and Artificial Intelligence-based tools.

Dr. Jan Rennies-Hochmuth has been awarded a grant from the “Klaus Tschira Boost Fund” for his research on personalized hearing systems for improved speech communication at the Hearing, Speech and Audio Technology Division (HSA) of the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology IDMT in Oldenburg. Rennies-Hochmuth’s research work aims to understand better how speech is perceived in complex listening conditions and above all how information is combined across both ears.
