The book about Scandinavian Electro Acoustic Systems (SEAS) was written by Danish loudspeaker engineer Claus Futtrup and jointly published by SEAS and Futtrup. Norwegian company Elliptic Labs has successfully introduced its ultrasound sensing technology to the market, leveraging early agreements with major chip suppliers to the IT and mobile industries. Following partnerships with Texas Instruments, Infineon, Knowles, Cirrus Logic and AAC Technologies, at the implementation level, Elliptic Labs this year expanded its support directly with chipset manufacturers ARM, Intel, Qualcomm and more recently MediaTek. And the company's efforts in ultrasound-based sensing are just in early stages.

SEAS Fabrikker continues to deliver on its promise to completely renew its product portfolio since the company revitalized its production, moving manufacturing from Taiwan to a new production line in Moss, Norway. Following the announcement in May 2019 of a completely new product-size of woofer in the Excel Graphene Woofer Series, named the 19-series, SEAS now launches the L19RNX1 (H1878-08) in the affordable Prestige Titan Series. The new L19RNX1 woofer was designed to respond to the challenges of high-res audio reproduction with improved clarity and dynamic capability.

SEAS Fabrikker, celebrating its 70th anniversary in the audio industry, is investing to revitalize and improve all its production and has moved part of its manufacturing from Taiwan to Norway. SEAS highly acclaimed subwoofers series has now moved to its new production line in Moss, Norway. With this transition, SEAS launched its new Extreme subwoofer series, starting with the XM001-04 model already announced in July 2018, and now complemented with the XM004-04 L26ROY, all now exclusively manufactured at their new in-house facilities.

Electrocompaniet AS announced that Peter Wellikoff has been appointed as CEO for Electrocompaniet Inc., the US subsidiary of the famous Norwegian company, as of the 1st of May 2017. Peter Wellikoff is a well-respected industry veteran with over 45 years of experience highlighted by 14 years as COO of the B&W Group, followed by six years as CEO of Meridian/Sooloos. He has numerous industry achievements and awards.
