SOtM Launches sMS-2000 High-Performance Music Computer and Streamer

SOtM Audio is now shipping its sMS-2000 network server and streamer “for true audiophiles”. The ultimate “music computer” with a Linux foundation and a web server interface, the sMS-2000 combines all the greatest components the Korean company has ever developed in a single integrated system. Reflecting over a decade of developments by SOtM, the sMS-2000 runs the company’s Eunhasu OS tailored specifically for high-end audio, and supporting a range of audio playback software, including Roon, MPD, and DLNA, complemented by all the connectivity options anyone can dream of.

The WiiM Amp has received Roon Ready certification from Roon Labs. The WiiM Amp, launched in November 2023, is the brand’s first amplifier and delivers and combines a complete hi-res-capable streamer with multiroom functionality and connectivity. Now equipped with Roon Ready, the WiiM Amp elevates the quality and value for its users. The newest line-up addition to the WiiM range significantly simplifies an audio system setup while reducing the total system cost for music enthusiasts.

Roon announced the release of Nucleus One, the newest addition to the Nucleus music server product line combining high performance and affordability. Already benefiting from additional resources since the Roon acquisition by Harman, the Nucleus One leverages advances in computer technology, technical design, and manufacturing processes to deliver an attractively priced turn-key device specifically intended for Roon's library management, music exploration, and multiroom music player software.

Responding to the frustrations of many owners of digital music libraries to find and quickly play music in large and varied music collections, Melco introduced a new powerful music search/metadata software incorporating MinimServer's Intelligent Browsing with SongKong metadata within Melco hardware. Merging Technologies announced that it will be showing an Aurender X100 Music Server directly connected to a RAVENNA AoIP network and using a MERGING+NADAC as the DAC.
