Neumann Expands KH Studio Monitor Line with Five New Subwoofers

Aiming to offer precise bass reproduction for stereo, surround, and immersive monitoring systems, German pro audio specialist Neumann announced the launch of five new DSP-powered subwoofers in its KH series: KH 805 II, KH 810 II, and KH 870 II, as well as specific models KH 810 II AES67 and KH 870 II AES67 for audio-over-IP (AoIP) configurations. With high SPL capabilities, these new subwoofers deliver unmatched precision, power, and flexibility, with multichannel bass management, more DSP power, and integration with the MA 1 software.

RTW Audio, has more than 50 years of experience designing and producing advanced recording-studio equipment, leading in high quality audio metering and monitoring tools. The company announced a major initiative that promises to expand its market exponentially. With the launch of software version 1.1 for its TouchControl 5 system, RTW is abandoning its license-based model and selling the sophisticated studio audio meter and monitor controller with all the available features, for a single price.

Neumann.Berlin has expanded its line of reference-class studio monitors. The new KH 150 is a bi-amplified, DSP-controlled design, featuring the same high-resolution tweeter as all Neumann studio monitors and a newly developed 6.5" woofer with ultra-low distortion and high SPL capability. The new KH 150 looks exactly like the other Neumann KH studio monitors and this is the largest two-way model, impressing for its extended low-end, while remaining extremely compact. That is also the result of a new and more energy efficient Class D amplifier and a more powerful DSP.

German studio specialist Neumann.Berlin introduced the MA 1, an integrated hard/software tool for monitor alignment, acoustic calibration and room correction, tailor-made for Neumann studio monitors. Calibration algorithms, jointly developed with Fraunhofer IIS, the world’s leading institute for audio signal processing, ensure best possible monitoring quality in any environment – from acoustically untreated bedroom studios to professional control rooms.
