Inovonics Changes Ownership as Jim Wood Retires

Broadcast equipment manufacturer Inovonics, Inc. was initially financed and has been wholly owned by Jim Wood and his immediate family following the founding of the company in 1972. Jim managed Inovonics until 2006, the year he turned day-to-day operations over to COO Ben Barber. Ben was elevated to President/CEO in 2012. Now, after 50 years leading Inovonics, Jim Wood steps down and passes the torch to CEO Ben Barber.

Headquartered in the mountain community of Felton, California, the Inovonics engineering team continues to work tirelessly to meet the needs of an increasingly connected broadcast world. Inovonics now introduced the new 551 and 552 HD Radio Modulation Monitors, providing the ultimate choice for advanced FM and HD Radio signal monitoring. Incorporating all the necessary features for station setup, regulatory compliance and remote monitoring, both models are on schedule to begin shipping mid-February 2022.
