CES 2026: The Global Stage for Innovation Returns 6-9 January

CES 2025, the most powerful consumer technology event in the world, welcomed over 141,000 attendees from around the globe, more than 4,500 exhibitors, including 1,400 startups, and more than 6,000 media attendees. CES 2026 will return 6-9 January with the same sense of commitment to showcase the best in innovation, address global challenges, and shape the future. Inaugurating a renovated Las Vegas Convention Center, CES 2026 will also feel different.

Continental's Automotive Systems business, which was renamed as Aumovio, is now a fully independent company that has officially been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Under the slogan "We Make Mobility Safe, Exciting, Connected, and Autonomous", the company, better known in the audio industry for its Ac2ated Sound planar panels, is now well positioned as a strong player in the automotive and mobility sectors.

audioXpress attended the HEAD acoustics' MOBILITY Voice and Noise Conference 2024 (May 8-9, 2024). An immersive event with the most advanced solutions and an application-based approach for testing and evaluating sound for automotive. Swedish digital audio processing specialist Dirac is showcasing the latest version of the Dirac VIRTUO automotive audio solution, for the first-time to the European market, at the IAA Mobility Show 2023 in Munich, Germany. During this event (September 5-10, 2023), Dirac OPTEO tuning is paired with the all-new Trèves "Sonified" technology to showcase a future of automotive audio where smaller, lighter, and more strategically-positioned speaker systems can produce increasingly high-quality sound.

AAVAA, a startup company based in Montreal, Canada, has announced the introduction of its brain-computer interface (BCI) technology in the form of the AAVAA Headband Accessibility Developer’s Kit. The software and headband hardware is able to detect and recognize intentional control movements, such as blinks and clicks of a tongue, paving the way for individuals with disabilities and those with mobility, speech and hearing impairments to gain control over their devices.

Mimi Hearing Technologies announced a new partnership with Circulr Sound, the Danish startup developing a new concept of personal AI audio devices called Hybrid Neckphones. Circulr Sound will bring Mimi Sound Personalization to its Smart Audio Wearables concept, allowing users to adapt the audio signal to their unique hearing ability. The implementation should enable interesting possibilities given Circulr's unique concept and awareness requirements.
