CEDIA Expo 2019 connected nearly 20,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors during the 2019 show held September 12-14 at the Colorado Convention Center. The over 200,000 NSF show floor space was filled with technology integrators, manufacturers and design professionals and saw a debut of show floor programming which highlighted new-to-market brands, trending discussions within the industry, and business development for the ever-evolving custom integration and residential design channels.

CEDIA Expo is the annual show created by and for the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), founded 20 years ago to advocate home technology, promoting training/certification, business, and the industry in general. The event was held September 4-8, 2018 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA. Nora Wong and Mike Klasco report from the show floor.

Launched during CEDIA 2017 and already considered as Best New Product (CEDIA 2017 Awards), the Josh Micro is a new hardware programable controller that runs the Josh.ai software, combines a breakthrough far-field microphone for hands-free voice control and more. As the company states, Josh Micro is a new platform for the smart home, designed to be developer friendly and community-based, making its capabilities widely accessible to other developers.
