Audinate announced expanded support for current SMPTE ST 2110-30 and AES67 standards and added 96kHz sample rate support. The latest updates further strengthen Dante's integration, building on a foundation of interoperability and high-performance audio transport, with new tools to meet the demands of modern production workflows. ST 2110 and AES67 can now be configured directly in Dante Controller, and other enhancements support broader ST 2110 compatibility for broadcast networks.

The update is packed with nine new device types, revisions, and additions to existing categories, core improvements to the specification and SDK, and certification and testing tools. Worldwide Shipments of Smart Home Devices Continue to Decline in 2023 Due to Lack of Upgrades

Global shipments of smart home devices continued to decline in the first quarter of 2023 as shipments fell 5.6% year over year to 186.0 million units, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Smart Home Device Tracker. The lack of new models and noteworthy updates to existing smart speakers, lack of progress in voice assistants, and the transition to the Matter smart home interoperability standard are to blame.
