Headphone & Headset Measurements Presented by Listen and G.R.A.S. – Chicago and Boston Seminars

Following previous sessions on the West Coast, in response to popular demand, Listen and G.R.A.S. Sound & Vibration have announced new headphone testing seminars in Chicago (October 13) and Boston (October 16). The jointly promoted training events allow participants to learn about the latest in headphone test systems and methods from design to EOL Test. There is no charge for this one-day seminar and lunch will be provided, but participants should register asap.

Much to read in Voice Coil July 2016, starting with an article by Mike Klasco about protection treatments for speakers and mobile electronics, followed by a discussion about “Boundary Effects on Sources at Low Frequencies” by Christopher J. Struck. James Croft reviews a patent of an improved speaker structure and Vance Dickason looks at one ribbon tweeter from Fountek, a new 1” dome tweeter from Tang Band Speaker and a closed-back midrange driver from B&C Speakers, and then reviews Revolution Acoustics’ SSP6 actuator, which is able to transform any panel structure into an audio speaker.
