Orchard Audio Previews Upcoming Range of Starkrimson Plate Amplifiers

Orchard Audio, in collaboration with Soundfield Audio, a speaker company from Tampa, Florida, has disclosed a first effort in a new product line for the company created by Leonid (Leo) Ayzenshtat. Leveraging the credits already gained from its acclaimed line of GaN-powered Starkrimson audio amplifiers and modules, Orchard Audio will launch a new 4-channel, 1200-watt plate amplifier with integrated DSP.

Encouraging developers to design high-performance Class-D audio amplifiers leveraging GaN FETs, EPC has launched the new EPC9192 reference design enabling high power and high efficiency Class-D audio amplifiers in a modular design that is ideal for customization. The EPC9192 showcases the high performance capabilities of EPC's 200V, EPC2307 eGaN FETs in a ground-referenced, split dual supply Single-Ended (SE) design, delivering an impressive 700W per channel into a 4Ω load.

JAVA Hi-Fi, the Auckland, New Zealand-based company founded by Martin Bell, Shane Inder, and Martin Young, following a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2016, introduced a new six-strong lineup of pre-amps, integrated and power amplifiers, employing unique circuit designs in the same iconic and refined chassis the company debuted in its first products. The result, the company promises, is exceptional audio quality, designed to cater to the demands of the modern hifi enthusiasts.

EPC announced the availability of the EPC9166, a 500W DC-DC demo board that converts a 12V input to 48V output. The EPC9166 demo board demonstrates the Renesas ISL81807 80V two-phase synchronous boost controller with the latest generation EPC2218 eGaN FETs from EPC to achieve greater than 96.5% efficiency in a 12V input to 48V regulated output conversion with 500kHz switching frequency. The output voltage can be configured to 36V, 48V, and 60V. The board can deliver 480W power without a heatsink.
