New Single-Chip Qualcomm CSRA6640 DDFA Amplifier Solution Allows Superior Audio in Smaller, Low Power Speakers

Qualcomm Technologies, a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, announced CSRA6640, a flexible, highly integrated single-chip amplifier solution with Qualcomm DDFA Digital Amplifier Technology. With its single-chip architecture, the CSRA6640 brings a new level of integration to make superior class-D amplification more commercially viable on smaller form factors and lower tier products, helping manufacturers to create portable and power-efficient speakers that offer differentiated audio quality.

Qualcomm Technologies International made exciting audio announcements in platforms and technologies for the development of next-generation audio products during its voice and music developer conference, held recently in Shenzhen, China. At the event, the company announced its new Smart Audio Platform for smart and networked speakers. Additionally, Qualcomm introduced its next generation Qualcomm DDFA audio amplifier technology for high-resolution audio devices including wireless speakers, soundbars, networked audio and headphone amplifiers.
