xMEMS Unveils AI Glasses Prototypes Featuring Sycamore MEMS Speaker and µCooling Fan

Delivering on earlier announcements, xMEMS Labs will demonstrate new AI smart glasses prototypes at its upcoming xMEMS Live Asia seminar series on September 16 in Taipei, and September 18 in Shenzhen. The concept features Sycamore, a very thin and light “sound-from-ultrasound” MEMS transducer that is able to deliver superior beaming for the challenging conditions of glasses frames. The prototype also showcases how xMEMS µCooling technology will deliver the industry’s first in-frame active cooling solution.

xMEMS Labs announced the expansion of its µCooling fan-on-a-chip platform into XR smart glasses, providing the industry's first in-frame active cooling solution for AI-powered wearable displays. The XMC-2400 monolithic silicon MEMS air pump device was recognized at the Sensors Converge 2025 conference, where it received the award for the Best MEMS Solution, while xMEMS was distinguished as Startup of the Year during the event.

xMEMS Labs announced an innovation in a completely new direction for the company. The new xMEMS XMC-2400 µCooling chip is the first-ever all-silicon, active micro-cooling fan for ultramobile devices and next-generation AI solutions. xMEMS recently revamped its website to reflect the new strategic directions for the company, now with piezoMEMS microspeakers and the actively controlled acoustic vent transducers DynamicVent segments complemented by the new cooling products category.
