Microtech Gefell Extends Generation 4 Microphone Range

Microtech Gefell is planning to showcase their recently released Generation 4 modular microphone system at the NAMM Show 2025. The German company will also present new extensions to the range for the first time at NAMM, including a new super cardioid diaphragm capsule, as well as a table stand and windscreen. Microtech Gefell also announced the opening of a new facility in New York to reinforce availability of the brand’s extensive microphone range, transistor and tube pre-amplifiers, as well as calibration and measurement tools in the US market.

Austrian Audio announced the launch of the OC16, a new "Open Condenser" large-diaphragm cardioid microphone designed with high-end features at a very attractive price point. Just like the well-received OC18 and the OC818 models, the new OC16 boasts a CKR capsule, handmade in Vienna, using Open Acoustics technology. The OC16 is an extremely flexible microphone to be used on a wide variety of instruments and vocals.
