RIVIAN Selects Meridian Audio for Electric SUVs and Trucks

British audio pioneer Meridian Audio announced that it has been chosen by Rivian, the adventurous new electric vehicle maker and technology company, to provide the branded audio system for its electric vehicle platform. This long-term relationship sees the two companies working together to challenge convention and redefine the in-car audio experience for Rivian’s ground-breaking range of fully electric adventure vehicles.

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer Concept debuted with a new McIntosh Audio System, featuring 23 speakers and a 24-channel amplifier for an impressive 1375 watts total. The system is exclusively designed and custom tuned to the vehicle’s luxurious cabin. Three active coaxial speakers in the dashboard, four headliner speakers, and a 12-inch sub for seriously deep bass, produce an immersive 3D sound experience that is certain to impress.

McIntosh Group Inc. and Alps Alpine have teamed up to deliver transcendent, luxury audio systems to the automotive industry. This announcement also signals that the McIntosh Group is returning to the automotive industry – bringing solutions from McIntosh Labs and Sonus Faber to vehicles. The partnership means that those automotive solutions are delivered by Alps Alpine in select vehicles.
