AVIXA Research Forecasts Pro AV Industry Set to Reach $402 Billion by 2030

AVIXA’s latest Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA) predicts pro AV revenue will grow from $332 billion in 2025 to $402 billion by 2030. Previously, the IOTA predicted market growth to reach $325 billion in 2024, but growth was slower than previously predicted, reaching $321 billion instead. However, the pro AV industry remains resilient, with a forecasted increase of $70 billion over the next five years.

Audio Engineering Society Announces Results of 2025 Elections

The Audio Engineering Society has announced the results of its 2025 Board of Directors and Board of Governors elections. The Society's Membership has elected Cesar Lamschtein as President-Elect, and Jayant Datta as AES Treasurer. On January 1, 2026, Past-President Leslie Gaston-Bird will transition to Governor for the first year of a two-year term, AES President Gary Gottlieb will transition to Past-President, and President-Elect Brecht De Man will become President.

Audio Engineering Society Announces 2024 Election Results

The Audio Engineering Society has announced the incoming Officers and Governors following the 2024 Board of Directors and Board of Governors elections. The Society’s membership has elected Brecht De Man, as President-Elect. De Man will serve one-year terms on the AES Board of Directors as President-Elect in 2025, in 2026 as President, in 2027 as Past President, followed by two years as a Governor. All those newly elected will begin their terms on January 1, 2025, when Gary Gottlieb will become AES President.

The MIDI Association, a nonprofit trade organization dedicated to expanding, promoting and protecting MIDI technology for the benefit of artists and musicians around the world, has named Tim Carroll, Focusrite Group CEO, as its new president. He will serve a two-year term. The decision was made via an election by the association’s executive board.

Event and trade show promoters still have a business - and it has nothing to do with media, content, or education. They are not supposed to try and do what companies should do themselves, much less become a sort of "closed-circuit broadcaster," social media booster, or podcast promoter. Talking to a closed circuit is exactly the reason why companies need a trade show: to break the loop. That is also the reason why companies need media - to amplify their messages and reach new buyers and markets.

B&C Speakers Joins Rare Earth Industry Association (REIA)

A group of stakeholders from the Rare Earth supply chain met recently for The Global Rare Earth Industry Association Conference, June 25- 27 in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting was also the first General Assembly to establish a global association to develop an integrated, de-risked and sustainable value chain for rare earth materials. The Rare Earth Industry Association (REIA) was founded by 12 organisations, including Italian loudspeaker manufacturer B&C Speakers, which was already part of a European-funded project committed to the reuse of rare-earth magnets.

Media Networking Alliance (MNA) and Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) Announce Merger

The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) announced that it is merging with the Media Networking Alliance (MNA) to form a single trade association for promoting IP in the media and entertainment industry. The merger comes after a two-year history of collaboration, and it will enable the organizations to have an even greater impact on the industries they serve. The new joint organization will retain the AIMS name and will be governed by the existing AIMS bylaws.
