Lectrosonics Shows the Super Slight Micro at Infocomm 2015

Following an earlier presentation at NAB 2015, at the 2015 InfoComm show, Lectrosonics introduced the Super Slight Micro (SSM), the smallest full-featured UHF bodypack microphone transmitter available today. The miniature size was achieved by changing the battery type and to a Lemo 3 microphone connector.

In light of the pending spectrum auction, Sennheiser says the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) should retain two blocks of clean UHF for hypercritical mics and ear monitors, and mic owners should receive compensation as a result of spectrum repacking. The company encourages microphone owners to write to the FCC before November 12th, 2014, and is offering to help with any filing or procedural requirements.
