Roku to Offer New Voice Control, Search and Volume Leveling Features

TV streaming service pioneer Roku has announced its Roku OS 8.2, a software update for Roku TVs that enables new features for compatibility with upcoming Roku TV Wireless Speakers; and Roku OS 9, an upcoming new software release with a variety of enhancements to provide new easy ways to search and control the entertainment experience. Roku will soon enable the ability to use Google Assistant devices to control Roku streaming. In addition, premium music services Spotify and Pandora Premium support are also coming to Roku devices.

At SXSW 2018, Bose has introduced Bose AR, the company's concept for an audio augmented reality platform, in the shape of glasses to hear. According to Bose, the prototype "launches the future of mobile sound," and Bose also announced an SDK schedule date for developers, manufacturers, and research institutions, along with collaborations currently under way, and venture funding for related start-ups.

LG Electronics (LG) announced plans to introduce its new 2015 Music Flow Wi-Fi Series speaker lineup worldwide with three Wi-Fi speakers and three new upgraded sound bars. The new wireless speaker series also includes the company’s first battery-powered portable Music Flow speaker. All can be controlled from LG’s Music Flow mobile app for iOS and Android.
