Veteran Sonos executive Maxime Bouvat-Merlin was named Chief Product Officer, leading the global product and operations organizations, as Deirdre Findlay joins as its new Chief Commercial Officer with responsibilities spanning all go-to-market and customer experience functions. Dunja LaRosa also joins as Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for overseeing Sonos’ key sales channels.

Sonos debuted Move 2, the next generation of its original Move portable speaker, now with a dual tweeter design that delivers a more spacious stereo image, improved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and new touch controls. But the improved Move 2 also features an expanded battery life for up to 24 hours, a new Wireless Charging Base (included), plus new USB-C Line in and USB-C device charging, which expands its possibilities considerably. The Move 2 is rated IP56 for dust and water resistance, making it perfect for outdoor use.

Sonos Voice Control Available in French

Sonos has recently introduced its Sonos Voice Control feature to its French listeners through an update of the Sonos application enabling Sonos Voice Control in the French language, in France. Available since June in US English, Sonos Voice Control allows users to control a Sonos speaker or Sonos multiroom music system using only voice commands. Implemented on-device for privacy reasons, Sonos Voice Control delivers hands-free control "de la musique. Maintenant en français."
