SEAS announced the launch of its new Titan product line in the Prestige Series, implementing FEA-optimized magnet systems with copper caps and rings, and titanium voice coil formers, in combination with matte black aluminum cones and domes, among many other improved features. SEAS' Prestige series offers a large array of sizes and diaphragm materials to perfectly fit the exacting requirements of both the OEM and distribution markets. The new Prestige Titan series is a long-awaited refreshment of this product line.

With a very discreet announcement on their own website, SEAS Fabrikker has stepped ahead of many other major loudspeaker manufacturers with the commercial introduction of a graphene-coated 5-inch woofer. And the new W16NX003 model also signals the launch of a completely new series of Excel Graphene woofers, as the company confirms. "More than a thousand engineering hours and significant investments have been put into the Excel Graphene product line, and the W16NX003 is the first one," they state.

This month’s Test Bench driver is the T35C002 1.5” tweeter from Norwegian high-end home audio manufacturer SEAS’s home audio driver Excel line. The T35C002 is basically an Excel line version of the company’s Exotic line T35 Alnico V tweeter, but it uses a neodymium magnet, with a 1.5” coated cloth diaphragm sourced from German high-end diaphragm manufacturer Dr. Kurt Muller (DKM). SEAS Expands In-House Production and Announces Extreme Subwoofer Series

SEAS Fabrikker, celebrating its 70th anniversary in the audio industry, is investing to revitalize and improve all its production and has moved part of its manufacturing from Taiwan to Norway. SEAS highly acclaimed subwoofers series has now moved to its new production line in Moss, Norway. With this transition, SEAS launched its new Extreme subwoofer series, starting with the XM001-04 model already announced in July 2018, and now complemented with the XM004-04 L26ROY, all now exclusively manufactured at their new in-house facilities.

In 2015, a book was published to celebrate 100 years of the loudspeaker and, in particular, the remarkable contributions of the Danish loudspeaker industry (audio and electronics industry in general is the fourth largest exporting industry in Denmark). Test Bench: SEAS E0060-08/06 6.5” King Coax

The driver featured in this Test Bench is the new E0060-08/06 6.5 “King Coax” from SEAS. Recognized for several years for its high-performance coaxial midrange/tweeter drivers, SEAS developed this new driver at the request of a studio monitor customer who wanted a compact three-way monitor and asked SEAS to develop a midrange + tweeter coax. The King Coax received its name from the copper ring under the tweeter, which resembled the look of a crown. This article was originally published in Voice Coil, June 2017.

On March 2003, Edward T. Dell, Jr., audioXpress founder, published a complete build project for the SEAS Froy Mk3, an improved version of the original Froy kit, designed by Murray Zeligman, who also designed the original FROY kit. The Froy Mk3 kit uses two W15CY001 woofers and a single T25CF002 "Millennium" tweeter mounted in a D'Appolito configuration. In the subsequent April 2003 edition, audioXpress published a complete review of the Froy Mk3, with measurements by Joseph D’Appolito, and listening evaluation from Dennis Colin.

New PBN Audio CX871 Speaker Kit with SEAS Drivers Now Available

The results for SEAS Fabrikker's intense R&D program keep showing with more applications for the company's new generation high-quality drivers. Recently announced by Danish company PBN Audio, the new CX871 speaker kit features two different SEAS drivers: the H1699-08/06 MR18REX/XF 7” Midrange Coaxial Loudspeaker, and 2x H1208-08 L22RN4X/P 8” Aluminum Cone Woofer. The result was recently presented by Madisound at the LAAS – Los Angeles Audio Show.
