Yamaha Launches Major New Commercial Installation Solutions at InfoComm 2017

The 2017 InfoComm trade show saw Yamaha Commercial Audio launching several significant new products in its Commercial Installation Solutions (CIS) range, including paging stations, flexible control options and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) L2 switches. In parallel with the introduction of the new VXL1 range of column loudspeakers, Yamaha promoted the new networked installation solutions at its own booth plus two audio demo rooms.

Audinate introduced a new compact Dante Analog Output Module, allowing manufacturers an easy option for quickly developing Dante endpoints. The new module is a simple Dante audio to analog audio adapter module, supporting one RJ45 Dante input, and one or two balanced analog outputs. It is designed for use in products assembled using an overmold process, where a single part is created using two or more different materials in combination. This allows rapid product development for simple audio networked systems, such as powered speakers.

While many audio companies are still dreaming about building IP speakers and other are still trying to understand audio-over-IP, some companies are already building a successful business model out of IP technology and power-over-Ethernet (PoE) installation speakers. OEM design and manufacturing firm CyberData Corporation announced the release of the latest generation of their line of SIP and Singlewire InformaCast enabled Speakers.

Audio-Technica now offers two new ceiling-mount plate power module models: the ATND931 Dante gooseneck microphone and ATND933 Dante hanging microphone. The included ATND8734 Microphone Ceiling Module with Dante network output transmits audio and control data together over Audinate’s Dante network protocol. The new conference solutions were introduced at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas, NV.

Introduced by Waves and DiGiCo as an initiative to accelerate the networked audio concept to live sound and live recording markets, DiGiGrid is now becoming a separate entity with a whole new range of products also addressing the studio and musician markets. The new DiGiGrid Desktop range introduced at NAMM 2016 opens that market.
