HEAD acoustics Introduces High-Precision HRT I Measurement Turntable

HEAD acoustics launched the HRT I (HEAD acoustics Remote-operated Turntable), a high-precision turntable allowing users to perform automated, orientation-dependent acoustic measurements. The rotation unit of the turntable offers a 360-degree rotation range, which can be approached in 0.1-degree steps, allowing manual or automated measurements.

HMS II.3 Artificial Head Measurement System Supports Super-Wideband Testing

HEAD acoustics announced that its HMS II.3 Artificial Head measurement system is able to transmit real speech equalized up to almost 20 kHz. According to the German company, the HMS II.3 Artificial Head, designed for measurement of close to-the-ear transducers, such as handsets, headsets, headphones, hearing protectors and hearing aids, is perfectly suited for testing the upcoming generation of VoLTE mobile phones, among many other applications that require super-wideband capabilities.

HEAD acoustics Test Equipment Allows HD Voice+ Logo Certification According to new GSMA Standard

The GSM Association (GSMA) has now specified test methods to assess the minimum performance requirements for allowing manufacturers of LTE mobile terminals and network providers to make use of the HD Voice+ (High Definition Voice+) logo. Combining HEAD acoustics' advanced communication quality analysis system ACQUA with the measurement front end MFE VIII.1, plus codecs and software options, manufacturers will be able to test their systems for the new Voice+ certification.

MainBerlin Studio Adopts Sfëar 3D Audio Solution Powered by 3D Sound Labs

3D/VR Audio specialist, 3D Sound Labs, announced that its 3D Audio technology is ready to be used for content production by professional audio creators and artists at the MainBerlin Studio in Berlin. The studio is the first to deploy the 3D Audio solution provided by Sfëar, Eurecat’s brand for binaural 3D audio production tools, as a result of a private joint initiative with 3D Sound Labs, and Voodoopop. The companies are also involved in the newly formed BINCI consortium, together with measurement experts HEAD acoustics.

Speech and audio quality specialists, HEAD acoustics GmbH from Herzogenrath, Germany, will be presenting its range of solutions at the Mobile World Congress (February 27 to March 2, 2017).
