Celestion Introduces New CDX20-3020 and CDX1-1070 Ferrite Compression Drivers

Reinforcing its pro audio solutions portfolio, Celestion introduced two new ferrite magnet compression drivers at NAMM 2016. The CDX20-3020 is a new 2-inch exit compression driver with a high-performance titanium diaphragm, while the new CDX1-1070 is a 1-inch exit ferrite magnet compression driver purpose-built for compact two-way systems.

This test bench looks at the ES140Ti-8 5.5” midwoofer, which is another model from Dayton Audio’s new Esoteric line. Features for the ES-140Ti are similar to the companion model ES-180Ti and include a well configured proprietary six-spoke cast-aluminum frame with narrow 9-mm wide spokes to minimize reflections back into the cone.
