Ultrasone Introduces Wireless Bluetooth Headphones and TWS Earbuds

German headphone brand Ultrasone unveiled three new wireless options to expand its product catalog. The new Ultrasone ISAR, LAPIS and METEOR ONE are effectively the first Bluetooth headphones in its long company history and also target new markets. Ultrasone says these are the result of more than two years of development, invested by the Bavarian headphone specialist to completely reposition itself within the important "wireless personal audio" segment.

Zoom announced the new F3 Field Recorder, the most compact professional 2-channel / 2-track audio recorder from the Japanese company. Danish speaker designer Lyd by Dissing announced an original project for its latest development – the Strøm wireless speaker with support for both Bluetooth and Spotify Connect via Wi-Fi. This is one of twelve demonstration projects under the European Union OPENNEXT program, aimed at promoting community-based product design and manufacturing. The Strøm is a fully open source project where both the cabinet construction and software platform are open sourced.

audioXpress readers have long been anticipating the announcement, and Western Electric finally confirmed that the company is taking orders for the new 91E integrated amplifier. Following the resumed production of the 300B triode tubes at the modern Rossville Works facility, Western Electric now launches a single-ended (SE) high-fidelity amplifier inspired by the 91A, its famous predecessor used in early Hollywood motion pictures. The new SE design offers over 20 watts per channel - a first for the 300B in a totally new design for the 21st Century.

British hi-fi specialist Cambridge Audio has announced two new additions to its Alva turntable range: Alva TT V2 and Alva ST - one being a direct drive design and the other a belt-drive. Unveiled for the first time at CES 2022 in Las Vegas, the new Alva turntables build on the success of the company's previous Alva TT – launched in 2019 as the world’s first turntable with aptX HD Bluetooth built-in. The new Alva TT V2 and Alva ST turntables are scheduled to be available in Spring 2022, priced at $1,999 and $999 respectively.
