The combination further strengthens Analog Device's position as "a high-performance analog semiconductor company with trailing twelve-month revenue of over $9 billion, industry leading margins, and free cash flow of over $3 billion1 on a pro forma basis," as the company describes it.

SVS Announces 3000 Micro Subwoofer With Dual Opposing 8-Inch Drivers

SVS has announced the 3000 Micro subwoofer which challenges existing reference designs from a compact 10-inch cabinet, able to reach 23Hz. The 300 Micro, the company says, matches the company's reference SVS 16-Ultra sub, by using dual opposing 8-inch drivers combined with the 800 watt RMS, 2,500 watt Peak Power Sledge STA-800D2 amplifier with discreet MOSFET output. The new 3000 Micro subwoofer also includes the SVS control smartphone app for advanced tuning of the Analog Devices DSP.

APEX Releases New SMA-2 Compact 4-Channel Amplifier Module

Belgium manufacturer APEX introduced a new four-channel OEM amplifier module specifically designed for multi-way pro audio loudspeakers designs. The new Apex SMA-2 is capable of delivering up to 3000W on a single 4 Ohm channel and uses APEX’ unique GlidePath direct drive architecture, which is a proprietary Class-D technology where the DSP system is an integral part of the amplifier system, with a fully DC-coupled audio signal path.
