McIntosh Launches C55 and C2800 Network Connected Preamplifiers

McIntosh Laboratory announced the launch of its latest preamplifiers with updated connected features, the return of the Processor Loop, allowing to insert an external signal processor and an update Quad Balanced, 8-channel, 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) with support for 24-bit/192kHz and DSD512 files. The C55 Solid State Preamplifier and the C2800 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier, are both Roon Tested and offer 16 inputs, including HDMI ARC and a USB input for DSD and DXD 384kHz support, and a dedicated subwoofer output.

McIntosh, the prestigious home entertainment and ultimate-quality audio brand for over 70 years, announced the MC3500 Vacuum Tube Amplifier Mk II, a tribute to the original that inspired a generation of musicians and music fans alike. Originally used to power the sound system for Woodstock '69 amongst other formative music events, the iconic monoblock amp was recreated by McIntosh’s expert team of engineers and designers to include modern upgrades that celebrate the brand’s rich history.
