Hammond Introduces Miniature Enclosures Optimized For USB Interconnect

To house small PCBs using USB as the external power and signal interconnect, Hammond Manufacturing has extended its popular 1551 miniature family of IP54 ABS enclosures. This allows the development of USB powered products, leveraging the latest USB 3.1 10Gbits/s standard with generous internal room for PCBs. All versions feature a dedicated cut-out for a standard USB Type A plug in one end and have a recess in the lid for an inlay, label or HMI keypad.

Analog Devices announced the addition of ADSP-SC57x and ADSP-2157x processors to its growing series of single-chip multicore SHARC processors. By combining ADI’s SHARC technology with ARM Cortex-A5 system control capability, the series provides a high performance, low cost solution for complex applications such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X or active noise cancellation with performance headroom remaining for further audio post-processing. InfoComm 2016 was an important opportunity for the AVnu Alliance to reinforce the work being done around IEEE 802.1 Audio Video Bridging (AVB) and Time Sensitive Network (TSN) standards, with new companies joining the consortium, introduction of new reference platforms and tools, and Cisco finally introducing AVB-enabled switches. More importantly, Coveloz promoted a demonstration of deterministic network control of AES67 audio transport running over an Ethernet AVB foundation.

Before its term, sonoro cancelled the campaign due to lack of support.

Among several interesting demonstrations, Sennheiser promoted its MobileConnect assistive listening concept, offering the ability to stream live audio to mobile devices via the MobileConnect App. Sennheiser’s solution consists of a streaming server providing the audio stream over WiFi, which users can connect to via the MobileConnect app on their own smartphone.
