Audix Releases Integrated Acoustics Coupler for In-Ear Monitors

Audix announced an expansion of its test and measurement range with the introduction of the TM2 Integrated Acoustic Coupler for In-Ear Monitors (IEMs). As the company explains, the TM2 was designed as a readily available measurement solution to complement software such as Rational Acoustic’s SMAART or Studio Six Digital’s Audio Tools, allowing monitor engineers to easily confirm the functionality of each performer’s IEMs. The coupler will appeal also to IEM enthusiasts obsessed with comparing measurements.

CEVA announced that its RivieraWaves Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) 5.2 Platform has achieved Bluetooth SIG Qualification. As the first IP company to receive Bluetooth LE 5.2 qualification, CEVA enables its licensees to reduce their product development risk and so benefit with expedited time-to-market and end-product qualification process. Since September 2020, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) started qualifying products using the new LE Audio Specification, announced in January 2020.

Norwegian company Elliptic Labs has successfully introduced its ultrasound sensing technology to the market, leveraging early agreements with major chip suppliers to the IT and mobile industries. Following partnerships with Texas Instruments, Infineon, Knowles, Cirrus Logic and AAC Technologies, at the implementation level, Elliptic Labs this year expanded its support directly with chipset manufacturers ARM, Intel, Qualcomm and more recently MediaTek. And the company's efforts in ultrasound-based sensing are just in early stages.
