Anticipating a presentation at CEDIA Expo 2022, PSB Speakers announced the Alpha iQ Streaming Powered Speakers with BluOS, an all-in-one audio system designed for modern, tangle-free, audiophile-grade listening. Expanding the Lenbrook Bluesound wireless audio ecosystem, these active bookshelf speakers can be managed with the BluOS Controller app. The Alpha iQ speakers will be available for pre-order online on October 19, 2022, for US $1,499 and retail availability will begin in late November 2022.

Powersoft Expands DSP+ Amplifier Range with AES67 Native Models

Powersoft has further enhanced its amplifier product range oriented towards fixed installations by introducing AES67-compatible versions of its popular Duecanali and Quattrocanali amplifier platforms. The new models, called Duecanali DSP+ and Quattrocanali DSP+, are able to receive audio-over-IP (AoIP) streams from AES67-capable networked sources for increased interoperability across different systems.

Airoha Confirms Bluetooth LE Audio Certification. Chips to Be Available H1 2023

Taiwan-based Airoha Technology announced that its new series of Bluetooth audio chips have successfully completed the latest Bluetooth Low Energy Audio Qualification Process and will be "widely available" to manufacturers in the first half of 2023. Airoha is one of the most important suppliers of chips for true wireless earbuds and the LE Audio certification is also an important R&D achievement for its Bluetooth audio R&D team consisted of hundreds of engineers.

Based on key topics raised during an Iron Mountain Entertainment Services (IMES) and Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing (P&E Wing) co-hosted 2021 summit “Protecting Legacies: The Art, Science and Value of Music Archives,” IMES, the P&E Wing and the Audio Engineering Society (AES) developed a survey to assess current practices and challenges in audio archiving. The survey was sent to approximately 4,000 members of the P&E Wing and 11,000 members of the AES.
