USound MEMS Speaker Powers New Flagship QCY MeloBuds N70 TWS Earbuds

August 28 2025, 04:10
USound announced that its micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) speaker technology is a fundamental component contributing to the innovation implemented in the newly launched QCY MeloBuds N70 earbuds. QCY’s newly launched MeloBuds N70 earbuds combine Hi-Res audio and advanced noise cancellation, setting a new benchmark in true wireless sound quality. In a major step for the Austrian MEMS speaker pioneer, the MeloBuds N70 integrate QCY’s DualCore Acoustic System, combining a ring-shaped dynamic driver with the USound MEMS speaker.

This milestone underscores a new design avenue to achieve high-resolution, distortion-free sound powered by MEMS speakers in the mainstream consumer audio market. The QCY MeloBuds N70 dual-driver approach delivers a design that can be precisely tuned for authentic sound reproduction and contributes to an effective ANC configuration, raising the benchmark for true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds.

USound announced the new design win with QCY, a recognized Chinese manufacturer of wireless audio products, back in March 2025. By partnering closely with Dongguan Hele Electronics, the parent company of QCY, USound was able to fully optimize the dual driver integrated assembly in miniaturized TWS earbuds while delivering a performance that rivals the industry’s premium transducers in terms of sound quality.

“This launch demonstrates that MEMS speakers have moved beyond potential — now established as a mass product standard, delivering superior audio experiences to consumers today,” says Ferruccio Bottoni, the CEO of USound. “Our collaboration with QCY demonstrates how USound MEMS technology enables smaller form factors, superior performance, and reliability unmatched by legacy dynamic speakers.”

Combining a ring-shaped liquid silicone dynamic driver with USound’s high-sensitivity MEMS tweeter, the dual-driver synergy blends full-bodied bass with crisp and articulate highs, which elevates the audio performance. And the QCY App makes the user experience even more enjoyable by allowing full customization of the sound profiles to suit personal tastes, and allowing a genuinely personalized listening experience every time they put on the earbuds.

According to QCY, a key benefit of USound MEMS technology in the MeloBuds N70 earbuds is the ultra-wide frequency response, enabling Hi-Res Audio level performance up to 40kHz, with superior high-frequency detail compared to legacy dynamic drivers. This is achieved with very low distortion levels and high consistency, as the semiconductor-grade precision MEMS components ensure minimal variation across units, critical for effective ANC that doesn’t degrade the sound signature. MEMS drivers also allow for more compact, lightweight, and energy-efficient designs, optimized for TWS form factors, reducing housing volume and power consumption. Sounds MEMS technology positions the MeloBuds N70 for Hi-Res Audio certification, enhancing the immersive listening experience.

“The MeloBuds N70 perfectly integrates high-fidelity sound, noise-cancellation technology, and a lightweight design. Through close collaboration with USound, we look forward to launching more innovative TWS products in the future, bringing a higher-quality listening experience to users worldwide,” says Wei Shiweng, Chief Acoustic Engineer at QCY.

With features such as Adaptive Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling, long battery life, QCY’s innovation in wireless audio, and an ergonomic design, the MeloBuds N70, combined with USound MEMS tweeters, creates a new industry reference at the entry level of the segment. While there are dozens of excellent products that continue to brighten up this competitive TWS field, with its flagship ANC wireless earbuds, QCY managed to deliver premium sound quality with the MeloBuds N70.

The N70 has three sophisticated sensors that scan 360 degrees in real time to pick up undesirable sounds, guaranteeing genuinely active ANC (claimed up to 56dB), combined with AI-powered wind noise reduction. And the N70 earbuds deliver an impressive 50-hour total battery life with the charging case, which also supports wireless charging.

Designed with user convenience in mind, the MeloBuds N70 feature intuitive smart interactions, with music automatically pausing when the user takes an earbud out and resuming when put back. The ultra-soft silicone ear tips with five different sizes provide a secure and comfortable fit, while multipoint connectivity lets users stay connected to two devices at once.

The QCY MeloBuds N70 are now available for purchase worldwide at major online retailers such as Amazon and QCY’s distribution partners. The QCY MeloBuds N70 will be priced at $59.99 (regional pricing may vary) and available in Purple, Titanium, and Black.
