Since its foundation in 1953, TEAC (Tokyo Electro-Acoustic Company) has been developing and manufacturing best-in-class turntables, DACs, streamers, amplifiers, CD players, cassette decks, and more. From the era of reel-to-reel decks to the modern landscape of high-resolution digital playback, TEAC’s commitment has remained the same.
The PD-507T uses TEAC‘s in-house manufactured CD transport mechanism. By specializing in pristine digital output without a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), it enables ultra-clean CD playback through various audio systems equipped with digital inputs, including Reference 500 Series USB DAC models. The Japanese company says the new design is particularly compatible with TEAC’s recently released UD-507, a discrete DAC, preamplifier, and headphone amplifier.

The basic CD transport mechanism is the TEAC CD-5020A, which has a long-standing track record of success in broadcast applications, now combined with custom circuits and parts. By combining this rugged and highly reliable mechanism with a semi-floating mounting structure and a specially designed drive circuit, the PD-507T achieves a markedly more refined audio experience.
The new PD-507T has a new feature that allows users to turn off unused digital outputs. Separate power supplies have been implemented for each clock and digital output. Additionally, the electrical circuitry and mechanical construction have been fine-tuned to deliver an even higher level of sound quality than previous models.
Additional design details include a toroidal-core transformer designed for a cleaner power supply, combined with two independent rectifier circuits for motor/pickup, achieving a cleaner signal reading. The low phase noise crystal clock oscillator and 10MHz external clock input improve the sound image system and provide upgradability with the CG-10M-X.
The PD-507T also offers connectivity with the CG-10M-X master clock generator to enhance sound quality with an external 10MHz clock. The UD-507 features a new amber-colored full-dot OLED display and control terminals, which improves system usability when used alongside other Reference 500 Series components. The player supports 12V trigger in/through and also includes a dedicated remote (RC-1338), while the IEC power inlet enables users a free choice of power cord.
Available in silver or black, the TEAC PD-507T will be available for purchase in Q4 of 2025 in the US and around the world. The MSRP is $1,699.99 (USA) / €1,299 (EU).
