Jamo is undoubtedly one of the iconic Danish speaker brands, founded in 1968 by Preben Jacobsen and his brother-in-law, Julius Mortensen (JA-MO stems from the names Jacobsen and Mortensen). As detailed in Claus Futtrup' valuable , in 1994, Jamo was the largest speaker manufacturer in Europe, with a large market share in Denmark. Unable to compete in the global market, Jamo gradually transferred the majority of the production to China. In 2005, the company was sold to Klipsch and almost disappeared. In 2024, following the acquisition of the brand from Premium Audio Company by Shenzhen-based Rayleigh Acoustics, Jamo Holding Limited was established as an independent entity to restore the brand to its Danish origins.
Instilled in a Danish tradition and living lifestyle, the C707PA MKII active speakers move away from the past Jamo lifestyle and home theater products, creating a new inspiring approach that combines aesthetics and substance. Designed to effortlessly integrate into any space, the C707PA MKII two-way speakers are powered by 65 watts of Class-D amplification, in a bass-reflex design that delivers the fidelity and articulate bass expected from a hi-fi product.

The speakers feature a 5.25" woofer, combining the HCCC (Hybrid Composition Conical Cone) diaphragm with a long displacement surround (LDS), for controlled damping and linearity, and the iconic Jamo aluminum phase plug resulting in lower distortion and better transient response. The woofer is paired with a 1" positive dome tweeter with anti-diffraction waveguide that delivers great room dispersion. A three-band EQ (Low/100Hz, Mid/1kHz, High/10kHz) allows adjustments to any type of positioning and room conditions, empowering users to personalize the listening experience.
With a comprehensive suite of inputs including Bluetooth 5.0 (with support for aptX/aptX HD lossless codecs), HDMI ARC, USB Type-C, 3.5mm jack, RCA (line/phono switchable), and optical, the C707PA MKII is built to be the nerve center of any hi-fi and entertainment system, combining audio and video.
In typical Danish tradition, the new Jamo design is also available in five curated colors — Black, White, Yellow, Khaki Green, and Blue, with each C707PA MKII pair supplied with a removable grille, remote control, and isolation pads. Let's see if this is the beginning of a well-deserved comeback for the brand.
