As one of the world's leading companies offering holistic sound and vibration analysis solutions, leading in the field of voice and audio quality solutions for multiple markets, HEAD acoustics GmbH regularly updates its software solutions to reflect the extensive field work from its own research and development engineers, as well as customer support efforts reflecting the needs of its diverse user base.
ACQUA from HEAD acoustics is a reliable software platform that provides signal generation and automated measurement and analysis of signals - as well as secure storage and documentation. With ACQUA, users can effortlessly and comprehensively conduct measurements for any voice and audio transmission scenario, such as VoLTE, USB, A2B, and Bluetooth, or measure devices such as mobile phones, hands-free terminals, ANC headphones, ICC systems, and smart speakers with ease. With the ACQUA Release 6.2.100, HEAD Acoustics once again adds substantial improvements to the extensive feature set.
Speech-Based Distortion Measure (ACOPT 41)
This completely new analysis option makes it possible for the first time to measure distortion using voice signals. This method was defined in ETSI standard TS 104 063 and circumvents the problem that modern communication systems often filter out artificial test signals such as sine waves or sweeps.
MDAQS (ACOPT 36/ACOPT 40)
MDAQS (Multi-Dimensional Audio Quality Score) has been updated to version 2.0. ACOPT 36 now includes, in addition to a generic variant, the two application-specific variants MDAQS Headphones and MDAQS Car, which are optimally adapted for headphone testing and audio quality testing in vehicles. This makes the evaluations significantly more robust and provides users with improved metrics for assessing audio quality. The MDAQS Headphones variant is also available as a stand-alone product in ACOPT 40.

Command Sequences for move°S
Close to natural communication scenarios thanks to head movements: The new Command Sequence Editor in ACQUA 6.2.100 enables highly accurate synchronization of move°S artificial head movements with audio playback and recordings. To do this, you define the rotation of the move°S in terms of starting time, position, speed, and acceleration in the Command Sequence Editor, enabling complex movement sequences to be executed during a measurement.
New A²B Product Structure
HEAD acoustics changed the product structure for coreA²B so that users can adapt the labCORE module even better to their applications. With the basic version coreA2B Basic (code 7791), the labCORE acts as either the main or sub node. With the help of the labCORE software extensions, users can use the bus monitor mode (coreA2B Bus Monitor, code 7792) or proxy mode (coreA2B Proxy, code 7793). Users can now integrate multiple coreA²B cards into a single labCORE system, including cards of different levels within the new product structure. This flexibility allows creating more comprehensive and optimally tailored test configurations.

With these updates, ACQUA Software 6.2.100 continues to improve the possibilities for researchers and developers to future-proof audio quality analysis, providing advanced tools that allow users to easily meet the evolving requirements of the telecommunications and audio industries.
