Dan Gillespie, a former Eventide DSP engineer, created EQuivocate as the ideal EQ for naturally changing the tone of any sound, ideal for mixing and mastering applications. German company ESI Audiotechnik announced a new fully-passive monitor controller designed to provide perfect playback volume control of studio monitors. MoCo is basically a convenient desktop pad with a big volume knob at the center, surrounded by function buttons and connections in the back panel, offering all the possible options in terms of inputs and outputs. As the German company explains, the design uses no active components that could in any way alter the audio signal.
